Can I go swimming if I’m pregnant?

Yes, of course. As long as you feel well and know your own limits. We also have a treatment that is tailored especially for pregnant women. For everyone, whether you are pregnant or not, we advise you not to sit in the hot springs for too long and be sure to drink plenty of water.

Can I visit Yasuragi Hasseludden and just take one treatment?

No. Treatments can only be booked if you already have a package (Yasuragi Day, Yasuragi Evening or overnight packages) booked with us at Yasuragi Hasseludden.

Can I be present when my children are receiving a treatment?

Yes, it’s perfectly ok to be in the treatment room when your child is receiving a treatment. This applies to all treatments we offer for guests between ages 8 and 15 in the Yasuragi Kids program. Read more about our children’s treatments here.

Should I bring swimwear?

Children 16 and under need to bring their own bathing suits and slippers. Adults 16 and older are provided with swim wear and slippers. All our guests, regardless of age, receive a Yukata (Japanese cotton robe) at check-in, which you use during your stay. The Yukata, bathing suits and slippers are yours to keep as a souvenir of your stay with us at Yasuragi Hasseludden. There is also shampoo, conditioner and soap available. The Yukata and slippers are used during your entire stay, even during meals.

When I can not take a treatment?

We cannot provide treatments in the following cases: fever, acute infections or inflammations, epilepsy, thrombosis, malignant tumors, hemophilia, infectious skin diseases, antibiotic treatment, heart conditions or high blood pressure. Pregnant women are treated after week 12.

How do the Yasuragi Day and the Evening Yasuragi packages work?

You can book either a day package between 8:00 to 16:00 or an evening package between 14:00 to 22:00. The packages include admission to our Japanese baths, activities on the daily program and lunch (Yasuragi Days) or dinner (Yasuragi Evening). In addition, you can book treatments. Can I stay overnight at Yasuragi Hasseludden?

Yes, of course. We have 163 guest rooms, all decorated in Japanese style. We also have mini-suites and full-size suites. If you want to stay at Yasuragi Hasseludden you can choose to book an overnight package that includes accommodations, breakfast, dinner, entrance to our Japanese baths, and activities according to the daily program. In addition, you can book treatments of your choice. Overnight packages and treatments are available subject to availability, seven days a week. We do not book children under 13 years in the Ryokan, Ryokan Hanare and Mezame.

Do I need to make a reservation?

What time do the baths open?

The baths are open seven days a week from 08:00 to 22:00. For our overnight guests, the baths are open from 06:00. Introduction to the Japanese bath for families is held every day at the following times: 8:00, 9:00, 10:00 and 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 16:30.

What should I bring?

Pack light! Children, up to 16 years of age, need to bring their own bathing suits and slippers. Adults 17 years and over are provided swim wear and slippers from Yasuragi. Everyone from 2 years and older receive a Yukata (Japanese cotton robe) at check-in, which is used during your stay and is then yours to keep. There are also towels, shampoo, conditioner and soap available. When you are thirsty, you are welcome to help yourself to the tea and fruit buffet.

Is other food available if I have allergies?

Yes, please tell us when you book what you are allergic to and we will provide alternative meals.

Can I purchase indoor shoes/slippers for the kids?

No, all children up to 16 years of age must bring their own slippers.

Are there child care facilities?

No, the Yasuragi Kids program is all about experiencing Yasuragi – inner peace and harmony together, children and adults. It is an opportunity to experience fellowship in a different, quiet environment. You always have full responsibility for your children during their stay at the Yasuragi Kids.

Can I buy bathing diapers for the children?

Yes, they can be bought in our shops located both at the reception desk and at the bath. (Adults are responsible to ensure that small children wear bathing diapers.)

Can children take part in all activities?

Some activities are for adults only, from 16 years and older. This is highlighted for each activity. Other activities are for children and adults together and tailored to the children. You decide if your child takes part in individual activities. Adults participate in activities along with the children.
